Training Section
From the beginning training new players has always been part of Stoke sub Hamdon band’s ethos.
With our close relationship with Castle school, we have been able to restart the training section and currently join the main band at the autumn and Christmas concerts.
The training section has been able to promote two players into the main band and hopes to continue to help secure the future of the band.

Last Summer, with our friends from Sherborne Town Band, we took part in a joint summer venture showing the local talent we both have. We are hoping this was the first of many and intend to expand to include more training bands from the area, to help promote brass banding to the next generation.
