Stoke sub Hamdon Garden Show, 1st August 2015

Welcome to Stoke Sub Hamdon Band

Last September Stoke sub Hamdon Band celebrated seventy years since it was reformed. The band is now looking to the future and is currently looking to recruit new members which will take the band on through the next decade. Stoke sub Hamdon Band is an entertainment brass band, we do not contest anymore, although have done so in the past. We play at village events, bandstands and fetes throughout the summer, Remembrance Day in November and then like all bands are busy in December with carolling and our annual Christmas Concert, which this year is on 10th December.

We currently have vacancies in all sections and are looking for players or any age or any ability, may be you learnt in your youth and would like to play again. We supply instruments, music, uniforms and insurance as part of membership which is currently 20 per year. The band has had a long ethos of training new players and stands ready to teach again.

If you are interested in coming along to a band practice we meet in the vestry of the United Reformed Church in North Street, Stoke sub Hamdon every Monday and Thursday between 8:00 and 10:00pm.
